A exposição de abertura do novo espaço da Sé, Dalton Paula: entre a prosa e a poesia, celebra uma nova etapa e apresenta obras inéditas do artista: quatorze aquarelas em papel e uma instalação composta por cinquenta e sete lamparinas pintadas a óleo que propõe uma regressão histórica às entranhas da colonização do interior do Brasil. Com referências a pintura de Debret e Rugendas, a obra também invoca ao mito da chegada do bandeirante paulista Anhanguera à região da tribo indígena dos Goyazes, atual Goiânia. As lamparinas servem de suporte para a pintura de animais, símbolos, plantas, rios e para a peculiar representação de cadeiras no lugar dos corpos. No segundo piso da casa apresentaremos uma mostra de acervo com obras de todos os artistas representados.

The opening exhibition on the new place of Sé gallery, Dalton Paula: between prose and poetry, celebrates a new stage and presents inedited works by the artist: fourteen paper watercolors and an installation composed of fifty-seven oil-painted lamps that propose a historical regression to the bowels of colonization of the Brazilian inland. With reference to Debret and Rugendas' paintings, the work also invokes the myth of the arrival of the Paulista settler Anhanguera to the region of the indigenous tribe of Goyazes, the current region of Goiânia. The lamps receive the painting of animals, symbols, plants, rivers, and the peculiar representation of chairs in place of bodies. On the second floor, there will be a collective exhibition with works by all the represented artists.
